Jede einzelne erinnert an ein Opfer der ersten Weltkrieges des beginn sich dieses Jahr zum 100. Mal jährt.

Each reminds us of one victim of the WWI which had started 100 years ago.
Auf dem nächsten Bild sind drei Löwen zu sehen, die aus Maschendraht gemacht sind.
Ich finde das ziemlich eindrucksvoll.
Im Mittelalter hatte man Heinrich III. drei Löwen geschenkt, die im Tower gehalten wurden.
Ich konnte aber nicht heraus finden, ob die drei Löwenfiguren etwas damit zu tun haben.
On the next picture you can see three lions, which are made of mesh wire.
I find this quite impressive.
In middle ages Henry III. had been given three lions.
I could not make out wether this had something to to with these three lion figures.

leider war unsere Zeit in London sehr begrenzt und ich würde schon gerne mal selbstbestimmt für ein paar Tage da hin fahren!
