Heute zeige ich euch ein paar Klassiker, die ihr alle kennt.

Today I want to show you some sights everybody knows.

Auf dem ersten Bild die berühmte rote Telefonzelle und im Hintergrund Big Ben.

Wusstet ihr, dass nur die Uhr im Turm Big Ben heißt und nicht der Turm?

Er gehört zum Paralmentesgebäude und liegt unmittelbar an der Themse.

On the first picture there is the famous red telephone box and in the background is Big Ben.

Did you know, that only the clock is called Big Ben and not the tower?

It is attached to the Parliament building and is located right at the river Thames.

Seit ein paar Jahren gehört auch das Riesenrad "The London Eye" zu den Hauptattraktionen.

Ich selbst bin noch nicht damit gefahren. Erstens ist es mit zu teuer und zweitens nicht ganz geheuer so lange in dieser Gondel eingesperrt zu sein.

For some years the London Eye is also one of the main attractions.

I have not been on it so far. First of all it is too expensive and I don't feel comfortable with the thought of being stuck in there for such a long time.

Picadilly Circus

Die Werbung hat sich kaum verändert in den letzten Jahren,

(Coca Cola wirbt seit 1954 und TDK seit 1990)

   Jedoch ist man nun auf LED umgestiegen, ich finde das hat weniger Charme.

The advertisments have hardly been changed in the last couple of years,

(Coca Cola advertises since 1954 and TDK started in 1990)

But the lights have been exchanged to LED, which I think is less charming.

Das nächste Mal nehme ich euch mit nach China-Town.
